She told me to look at the quarry with her, so I put to rest what I had in my hand and unwillingly followed. As I travel down the roads that dictate my path to the quarry, she told me that the quarry was a magical place where peace, serenity, and beauty reigned overall. She claimed that the buildings near the quarry coexisted as if one needed the other. Each blade of grass was cut perfectly which gave her face comfort as she lay on the grass. The soothing winds and the calm water that drifted beside the slopes of the perfect grass. Technology discovered a way to enhance the beauty of the quarry by nourishing the plains and creatures that live in or along the quarry’s perimeter.
I was almost there to make myself a witness to all of nature’s marvels at the quarry, but as I became closer and closer, the world began to shift in perspective. Upon arriving at the quarry, extraneous car horns could be heard from almost any direction. As I looked out my window a car became engulfed in flames and exploded. My face had no smile or any form of jubilancy. My mouth was wide open as the car began to tumble over into the uncut grass. Half of the grass was in ashes. My heart was filled with blackness as there was no sight of live creatures that roamed the area. I became breathless when sniffing the air that was filled with the smell from the dead creatures around. I began to have the sensation of raindrops splash on my shoulders, but instead I was touched by blood dripping from the dark lifeless tree. I had to leave immediately. As I was approaching the car, I can hear the grass crunch beneath my feet.
The car suddenly disappeared when I was a few feet away. I looked around and realized that she was not in sight either; however, I can hear her voice echoing through my head. I turned my head back and I was hit by a mysterious force.
I woke up lying on the grass near quarry. Both the car and she were still intact. The creatures, the grass, and even the buildings were not damaged in any form. All coexisted perfectly. Even though everything was not in danger, I could not return back to the quarry as if the quarry and me will collapse in time and be forgotten.
